We hand-excavated this section of leaking foundation to apply a Mel-Rol damp-proofing membrane with tar around the seams to direct water away from the foundation and to the drain tile.
We connected our new drain tile to the existing drain tile around the home.
We cored through the footing of the foundation to run our new drain tile to the sump crock in the basement.
Our core driller hard at work drilling through the footing!
Once cored, we can run our drain tile through the hole to connect to the sump crock.
Once connected to the sump crock, we have given exterior water a place to go, through our drain tile and to the sump crock to be pumped out!
Once finished with the drain tile, we filled in our excavated area with a granular fill to allow water to properly drain to our drain tile.
After backfilling, you could hardly tell that we were even there!
In the basement, we filled our trench with peastone to cover the drain tile and repaired the concrete! All finished!
